As the sticky, hot summer days draw in, and a golden hue engulfs our days, we move towards the Celtic festival of Lughnasadh, or Lammas, marking the beginning of the harvest season

Lughnasadh traditionally incorporated large gatherings, spiritual ceremonies and customs, great feasts, athletic contests, matchmaking and rituals like pilgrimages up tall mountains and hilltops and visiting holy wells and sacred springs and is embodied with themes of abundance, gratitude, renewal, giving and sharing in feasts.
